Once again we have a very out there episode of Nerdgasm Noire for y’all. We talk about upcoming movies and shows we’re excited about seeing, why all of the rappers are up in arms, as well as deciding which nepo babies are keepable and which we could do without. Also Team Queer tries to recruit Jamie to their team. We just need Natasha Lyonne to also join the team.

This week we talk about the wildest choice for music in the trailer for children’s movies, The Grammys, Universal deciding to take all their music off TikTok, and we also expressed the need to teens to have safe spaces to be teens and not be harassed by adults. Remember Teen Clubs? Yeah the 90s/00s were a weird time.

On today’s episode we get into some of the KU reads that we hate to love, love to hate, and couldn’t even finish. These are the books that we wouldn’t dare share on our Goodreads and authors we’ll never read again. Be warned, a lot of these are VERY bad and some of the themes get pretty dark.

Melissa and Storm read Thick Beef by Layla Fae and decided this was going to be the first book on Smut Book Club that gets DNF’d (Did Not Finish).

This week we play another game of Guess Who’s Coming to Juneteenth and talk about Keith Lee and how someone is going to get their ass beat playing around with him. We also talk about Found, what constitutes lightskintedness, and go onto a lot of tangents that even we don’t really know what’s going on.

The ladies come up with a new game show, Guess Who’s Coming to Juneteenth, a show where we try see if we know who is Black or not. We also talk about the new Doctor Who and whether or not we are excited for it, or dreading it. Also, you know we’re going to talk about Will and Jada and how we actually don’t know as much about their relationship as we think. We define what 90s Fine is, though some of us disagree whether or not being 90s Fine makes you not fine in any other era.

Melissa talks about commercial jingle conspiracy theories, we find out that DayQuil and NightQuil actually don’t work, JP and De talk about Big Bad Con and attempt to get the rest of the crew excited about a game, and we try and end on a happy note (spoiler alert, it just ends weird).

Melissa also shoots some ideas for the jingle for this particular podcast. It goes about as well as you think.
